History

2023: Sale of Russian business to local management

On March 23, 2023, it became known that the Irish manufacturer of paper packaging Smurfit Kappa sold the Russian business to local leaders. As a result of the transaction, the company will change its name from Smerfit Kappa Rus JSC to Kappa Rus JSC - this will happen at the end of April 2023.
