2023: Sale of Russian business to local management

On March 23, 2023, it became known that the Irish manufacturer of paper packaging Smurfit Kappa sold the Russian business to local leaders. As a result of the transaction, the company will change its name from Smerfit Kappa Rus JSC to Kappa Rus JSC - this will happen at the end of April 2023.

The manufacturer Smerfit Kappa Group notified the government of the Leningrad Region about the closure of the transaction on the sale of Russian assets to the local leadership, including enterprises in Vsevolozhsk and Kommunar, - reported in the Telegram channel of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Leningrad Region.

Smurfit Kappa transferred business in Russia to local managers
