New terminal opened at Krasnokamensk airport

The laminated wood beam frame and OSP wall slabs were made entirely in factories. This made it possible to significantly reduce the installation time at the construction site. All structural elements are delivered as finished.

The capacity of the terminal is 50 passengers per hour. The building uses a rack and beam structure with glued wood beams. Skin is made of hardwood planken. The roof is insulated using a waterproofed membrane system.

The terminal is equipped with a complete autonomy system in case of a power outage. For this, a diesel generator and a system of uninterruptible power supplies are installed. Functional areas are allocated in the building - waiting room, gate area, bathrooms and technical rooms.

The project was implemented by the international design and construction company Alpbau. The organization has been operating in the Russian market since 2012 and specializes in wooden construction. The company has experience in the construction of public buildings in many cities of Russia. The airport terminal in this performance was the first in the country.

The construction was carried out using modern technologies. The foundation ensures the reliability of the entire structure. All connections are implemented through metal connectors and bolted connections. The developer claims that the structure is able to withstand any design loads provided for by the current standards.[1]
