Another area of ​ ​ activity is the provision of services for the manufacture of parts and metal structures according to customer drawings. The company is one of the largest leaf processing centers in the Perm Territory using laser metal processing technologies (laser cutting, high-precision bending, rolling, welding, powder painting, robotic welding).

History

2025: Introduction of industrial robots to produce complex metal structures

Krasnokamsk Mechanical Repair Plant launched a second robotic welding complex for the manufacture of serial equipment and non-standard metal structures. This was reported by the press service of the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry on December 23, 2025.

The new welding cell operates around the clock. This will allow the company, without increasing the number of employees, to increase the production of products that require high-quality welding. Automation compensates for the shortage of personnel at industrial enterprises.

The key feature of the new robotic welding complex is the presence of two working areas. This allows new parts to be loaded in one zone while the welding process occurs in another. The tooling of the new complex is designed so that the assembly time is less than the welding cycle.

The continuous operation of the equipment required the restructuring of related production processes, including procurement production. Synchronization of all stages ensures uninterrupted supply of blanks to the robotic complex. Reorganizing logistics internally improves overall efficiency.

Dmitry Teplov, director of the Krasnokamsk Mechanical Repair Plant, said that the new robot allows you to multiply increase productivity and maximize arc burning time. According to him, the first robotic complex at the plant has been operating since 2011 and has expanded its capabilities in the field of precision metal processing.

Dmitry Teplov noted that thanks to the first robot, the plant produces complex non-standard metal structures. The enterprise manufactures pipelines, equipment units for mining and nuclear industry. The second robotic welding complex will strengthen this direction.

The director of the plant stressed that the company will increase the volume of welding production, hiring at least new employees. This corresponds to the general trend in the development of Russian industrial industries operating in conditions of personnel shortage. Robotization allows you to maintain growth without proportionately increasing the number of personnel.[1]
