2022: Investing 34 billion rubles in the reorganization of the industrial zone

In early May 2022, it became known that the Moscow City Hall allocated more than 34 billion rubles to create high-tech production in the former Kuntsevo industrial zone. According to Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, thanks to the implementation of the project, about 1.6 billion rubles will be received annually in the city budget, and more than 4.5 thousand new jobs will be created.

According to the Minister of Government of Moscow, the head of the department of urban property Maxim Gaman, high-tech production in the new industrial quarter in Kuntsev will occupy more than 168 thousand square meters. m, and public and business development - offices, banks, cafes, shops - 100 thousand square meters. m

As a result of the reorganization of the industrial zone, modern enterprises and public-business buildings will be erected on the site of warehouses, garages and car services. In addition, they will build an industry college with an area of ​ ​ about 2 thousand square meters. m and the city archive, which will occupy at least 1 thousand square meters. m

The Kuntsevo industrial zone is located in the district of the same name in the west of the capital and is bounded by Gorbunova, Bobruyskaya and MKAD streets. By May 2022, there are abandoned workshops of the former production enterprise and premises that are leased for offices, car services, warehouses and garages. The Moscow authorities decided to reorganize 55 hectares of industrial zone area. Housing with social facilities, offices and industrial development will appear here.

It is explained that the comprehensive development of the territories of former industrial zones and unused territories of Moscow as part of the Industrial Quarters project will allow the city to get about 550 thousand jobs. The total investment will amount to 7 trillion rubles, and about 3 trillion rubles will go to the budget.[1]
