2025: Sale due to unprofitability
Siberian Generating Company LLC sold Kuznetsk CHPP JSC (Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo Region) due to unprofitability. This was announced in May 2025 by the general director of Kuzbassenergo JSC (part of the SGK) Viktor Larioshkin. The negative financial result is due to the fact that on the same bank of Novokuznetsk, where the Kuznetsk CHPP is located, another heating station operates - the Central CHPP, the owners of which acquired the Kuznetsk CHPP. According to Larioshkin, it was difficult to build a business economically in such conditions.[1]
