2024: Creation of a tourist safari cluster for 2 billion rubles
September 26, 2024 it became known that the National Park "Land of the Leopard" in the Primorsky Territory of the Primorsky Territory began to create a unique tourist safari cluster worth about ₽2 billion. The project provides for the arrangement of a separate territory with an area of 7 thousand hectares, where visitors will be able to observe wild animals without violating the integrity of the main reserve.
According to TASS, Elena Gangalo, Director General of the Far Eastern Leopards ANO, said that the new cluster will be located on a site not included in the main territory of the reserve. This will create a variety of tourist routes without compromising the main animal population.
The entire cluster area will be fenced off, creating conditions similar to African safari parks, Gangalo said. Design and estimate documentation has already been prepared, the development of which spent ₽70 million. The project is planned to be implemented in stages. The management of the national park is actively looking for investors to finance construction.
The new cluster will freely move ungulates removed from the wild and unable to survive in their natural habitat. Among them are roe deer, izubri and deer. For visitors, conditions will be created for walking, photographing and observing animals from specially equipped observation platforms.
The creation of such a safari cluster is a unique experience for Russia. The project is designed not only to attract tourists, but also to promote the conservation of rare animal species by providing them with a safe habitat.
Leopard Land National Park is known as a key area for the conservation of the Far Eastern leopard - one of the rarest large felines in the world. The creation of a new tourist cluster will expand opportunities for environmental education and draw public attention to the problems of preserving the unique nature of the Primorsky Territory.[1]
