Letograf - the Russian developer of the software product of the same name intended for creation of systems and cloud services of management of documents, business process automation and integration of corporate applications.

Offices of the company are located to Moscow and in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty).

History

2017: Hit under the Ukrainian sanctions

On May 16, 2017 the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko the decree enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on sanctions against the Russian companies and their affiliated enterprises in Ukraine. In total in the sanctions list there were 468 legal entities, from them 81 – connected with the IT field. Among the companies which fell under sanctions it appeared also Letograf. Read more here.

2016

Letograf sharply reduced revenue and became unprofitable

In 2015 turnover of Letograf was significantly reduced, follows from the financial statements of the company available in base " circuit.focus ". In base four legal persons concerning to Letograf whose founders is the CEO of the company Gleb Lukin are registered: Letograf LLC, "Letograf IT Consulting and services", "3 IT: Corporate solutions" and "IT Laboratory 3". Consolidated revenues of these companies in 2014 were about 117.2 million rubles, and in 2015 – 37.2 million rubles, what is 68% less.

The net profit of all companies of Lukin in 2014 was 135 million rubles. It exceeded revenue at the expense of the company "3 IT: Corporate solutions": its profit was about 47 million rubles at revenue in 19.2 million rubles. In 2015 the loss about 39 million rubles appeared cumulative result of four companies.

Letograf LLC reduced revenue by 80% - from 46.9 million rubles to 8.9 million rubles, and received net loss in 31.9 million rubles. Revenue "Letograf IT Consulting and services" dropped by 25% - from 36.6 million rubles to 27.3 million rubles, and the company appeared at a loss for 4.2 million rubles.

At "3 IT: Corporate solutions" revenue is specified "0" rubles against 19.2 million rubles in 2015, and net profit at the same time – about 11.8 million rubles. "IT laboratory 3" gained about 1 million rubles – 93% less than a similar indicator of 2015, and received a loss about 15.2 million rubles.

In Letograf did not explain TAdviser what deterioration in financial performance of activity of the company is connected with.

Letograf has a difficult organization structure. We do not comment on results of activity of the specific companies, we do not understand about what digits there is a speech, - told TAdviser in Letograf.

Added to the companies that actively execute different projects on implementation and support of the system of the same name and also actively work on release of the new version of a system, with new design and functionality, implement it in the test mode.

Players of the EDMS/ECM market make the different assumptions what falling of revenue of their competitor can be connected with. So, Alexander Bader, the area development director of ECM of TerraLink company, for example, inclines to opinion that put in the product which develops Letograf.

As far as I was informed, Letograf has a card with the limited, not expanded set of attributes and very low cost of licenses. In the opinion of customers the second outweighs the first on a decision instant. Sobering up occurs later, and it for many is very painful. It turns out that it still has problems both with performance, and with integration, and with support, and development, etc, - the representative of TerraLink argues.

We do not know actual reasons of falling of revenue Letograf, but, generally, it can be connected with end of large contracts, without substitution by their new clients, either change of positioning of the company or disagreements among shareholders, - noted in a conversation with TAdviser Victor Weinstein, the CEO, Business Logic IT (Civil Code).

Letograf requires from the minister to include in the register of the Russian software the product on the import platform

In August, 2016 Letograf sent the letter to the Minister of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, requiring to review the decision on inclusion of the product of the same name in the register of the Russian software. Letograf in the register of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications issued the order on failure to include in May and published in August, 2016. The CEO of the company Gleb Lukin reported to TAdviser that Letograf sent a request for a cause of failure in department, and justified the decision of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications with the fact that the key functionality of the software stated Letograf is implemented on the foreign proprietary Ensemble platform.

In Letograf say that such basis of failure is not stipulated by the legislation. The document management system Letograf completely meets the requirements specified in the federal law of 6/29/2015 No. 188-FZ and Article 14 of the federal law and is completely domestic development, state in the company.

In No. 188-FZ "About introduction of amendments to the Federal law "About Information, Information Technologies and on Data Protection" and Article 14 of the Federal law "About a Contract System in the field of Purchases of Goods, Works, Services for Ensuring the State and Municipal Needs" requirements for domestic software are formulated. In the letter to Nikiforov Letograf explains that their software corresponds compliance to all points including presence of the exclusive rights to software at the Russian company, freeware distribution in the territory of the Russian Federation, the amount of assignments for the foreign components which are not exceeding 30% of proceeds from sales of a product and also absence in software of the data which are the state secret.

In the same place it is said that the product supports more than 500 MB of the program code written by the Russian developers and belonging to the domestic commercial organization.

In the letter to the minister Letograf pays attention to what everything EDMS, presented at the domestic market, for functioning demand DBMS, by the developed third company, and the register includes the products using import DBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. The developer cites EDMS as an example "E1 Euphrates" and "Case". In turn, Letograf is completely domestic solution using as DBMS solutions InterSystems Cache or Ensemble, the letter says.

In response to the letter to Nikolai Nikiforov Letograf received the letter from the deputy director of development department of high technologies of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Innokenti Dementiev who recommended to the company to submit repeatedly the application, having removed the causes for which it was refused inclusion of data about program a product in the register earlier, or having attached on the request of explanation concerning compliance of a product to the requirements set by rules.

Earlier, in March members of Expert advice at the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications at one of meetings agreed upon the Russian software not to let in the register of the solution if their key property is based not on domestic technologies even if in general formally it meets legislatively set criteria of "rossiyskost"^[1]. This policy was going to be applied, including, and to the Open source software.

With respect thereto several products which are already included in it concerning which their basic foreign origin^[2] was investigated were deleted from the register of the Russian software later^[3].

As of December, 2016 the product is not included in the register of domestic software.

2014: Gleb Lukin's interview to TAdviser
