2020: Entry into the structure of Ansys
On June 29, 2020 the KADFEM of Si — Ah-Es company reported that the Ansys company purchased developer company of solutions for modeling of silicon photonics of Lumerical. It will allow to add software products for modeling of photonics to the multifizichny Ansys portfolio and to provide to clients a set of solutions for the questions connected with design of products of the next generation.
As of June, 2020 the Lumerical company develops the software for modeling at the component level using multidisciplinary workflows for modeling of optical, electric and thermal effects at the physical layer. The company provides the solution for modeling at the system level, with a set of analytical opportunities for design and optimization of characteristics of electrooptical devices. The products Lumerical are used by the companies developing photon devices.
Ansys aims to expand a scope and to provide technologies of modeling for all segments of the industry, and Lumerical technologies open the photonics industry for Ansys. The silicon photonics is an extending market, and Lumerical, similarly traditional environment of design automation of electronics, provides a full range of tools for design and the analysis of components of photon integrated circuits and systems. Lumerical supplements Ansys SPEOS, actually acting as a light source for forecasting of illumination and optical characteristics of such systems as internal lighting of the car.
