2025: Launch of a plant for the production of equipment for wind power plants in the Rostov region for 1.2 billion

As it became known in December 2025, the amount of investments in the localization of the production of steel towers for wind power plants in the Rostov region reached 1.2 billion rubles. We are talking about the project of the company "VetroStroyDetail."

The development of the production base corresponds to plans for a large-scale increase in generation on renewable energy sources (RES) in southern Russia. According to the branch of JSC SO UES ODU of the South, by the end of 2029 it is planned to introduce 2429.3 MW of new "green" capacities into the combined energy system of the region.

Regional wind power shows a heterogeneous picture. According to Vedomosti, in Kalmykia, at the end of 2023, renewable energy accounted for 92.1% of all electricity generation, in the Astrakhan region - 33.6%; in the Rostov region, this figure was at the level of 3.9%.

According to a study by the consulting company Kept, the annual cost of integrating renewable energy facilities into the energy system of southern Russia can range from 17 to 339 billion rubles.
