2019: Ksenia Suvorova starts the edition

On August 22, 2019 it was reported that Ksenia Suvorova, the Chief Editor of the technology Hightech.fm portal and the former development director of "Фонтанки.ру", announced start of media, devoted to evidential medicine. The command of the edition will consist of several scientific journalists and professional health workers who will focus on promoting of science and medicine, biology, chemistry and anatomy and also "on dethronement of myths and pseudo-diagnoses using evidential base".

Preparation for start of the edition took about a year. The project is based only on own means of the founder, without attraction of external investments. According to Suvorova's forecasts, the edition will reach self-sufficiency by August, 2020.

Until the end of 2019 Ksenia also intends to start the educational rates for patients and medical personnel devoted to the diseases and frustration which are the most often involving setting of incorrect diagnoses and medical errors: Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, delay of speech development in children, multiple sclerosis, frustration of an autistic range and other subjects.

"In the Russian market there are a lot of medical media or blogs, but there is a global problem — most of them is subordinated to a system. You without problems will find articles about osteochondrosis, treatment grasses, to advantage of antiviral medicines — all this is antiscientific. The idea of start of media with emphasis on evidential base and the regular analysis of all global trends was born just about a year ago after long could not make me the diagnosis and only the doctor who was continuously engaged in self-education coped. I many times faced medical errors and I want that both doctors, and patients could learn timely news and trends and to be sure of information which they obtain in media" — Ksenia Suvorova, the founder of MadMed.Media emphasized.
