2025: Raising $140 million in investments

On April 22, 2025, it became known that the service for creating chat bots ManyChat, established by Mikael Yan, the son of AVVUUDavid Yan, held a Series B round of financing. $140 million was raised for the further development and strengthening of the market position, and the leading investor was the American company Summit Partners.

Mikael Yang launched ManyChat in 2015. The service helps businesses create chat bots for communication in instant messengers. As of April 2025, the Manychat platform has about 1.5 million customers in 170 countries around the world, including companies such as Nike, New York Times and Yahoo. Manychat is said to send "billions" of messages annually on behalf of users via TikTok, Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization; activities in the Russian Federation are prohibited), WhatsApp and other systems. ManyChat promotes better customer engagement, which in turn drives business development.

Before the Series B funding round, startup Manychat raised a total of about $23 million - mainly as part of the $18 million Series A program in 2019. Then the company received a valuation of $58 million. Mikael Yang claims that the service is "basically" profitable - it "always works on the verge of breaking even."

The funds received, according to the resource TechCrunch, the Manychat service will direct primarily to research work. In particular, it is planned to introduce new functions based on artificial intelligence, which will help improve and expand the platform's capabilities. In addition, as the company notes, the money will go to marketing in order to attract new customers and improve sales.[1]
