Maxidom

Maxidom is a network of unique shops of goods for the house, repair and construction. Today in St. Petersburg seven hypermarkets "Maxidom" work.

The first shop opened on October 6, 1997 on Grazhdansky Avenue and in a month became one of the most popular in the city.

For 2007 turnover of network made $427.4 million. The share of sales of Maxidom network makes 3% of all market of DIY of Russia (including the markets and not network shops) or 15% of turnover of 10 largest network operators of DIY of Russia.

Opening of new shop of network took place on November 28, 2008 in Nizhny Novgorod. Management of all network of nine hypermarkets located in St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don and Nizhny Novgorod is performed on a centralized basis in the automated mode using the specialized information system GESTORI Pro from FIT company.

Enters into the three of the largest networks DIY in Russia.

Enters rating "TOP-50 the Russian retailers", published by the Kommersant newspaper in 2008.

Number of staff of Maxidom company – about 3,000 people. The total area of shops – more than 90,000 sq.m. The range – more than 60,000 names.

History

2020: Castorama purchase

On October 1, 2020 the British holding Kingfisher announced closing of the transaction on sale of Castorama hypermarkets to network in Russia Maxidom companies for 7.4 billion rubles. Agreement parties got all necessary permissions from regulating authorities. Read more here.
