In Ivanovo, a criminal case was initiated on the purchase of X-ray devices more expensive than retail prices

In June 2023, the Investigative Department of the TFR in the Ivanovo Region announced the initiation of a criminal case on abuse of office by the contract manager of one of the hospitals and the manager of Meditech. Initiation of a conspiracy case between the company and the Department of Health of the Ivanovo region

In early June 2023, it became known about the initiation of a criminal case against the contract manager of one of the hospitals in the Ivanovo region and the manager of Meditech, who, according to the investigation, entered into contracts for the purchase of tent X-ray machines at prices totaling 4 million rubles higher than retail ones. The details of the case were disclosed in the press service of the regional investigation department of the RF IC.

According to the investigation, in 2020, the accused, being the contract manager of one of the health institutions of the Ivanovo region, out of a different personal interest, reported inaccurate information to employees of other medical institutions responsible for public procurement about the presence of the only possible supplier - Meditech LLC - in the market of medical equipment for the purchase of tent X-ray devices from him.

In addition, she reported that the prices offered by the company are not overestimated relative to the market value. Then her accomplice, the manager of Meditech, sent commercial proposals to healthcare institutions containing deliberately inaccurate information about the inflated market value of this medical equipment.

As a result, in December 2020, state contracts totaling 21 million rubles were concluded between Meditech and several medical institutions in the Ivanovo region. Investigators conducted searches at the place of residence of the woman and her accomplice, as well as in the office of a commercial organization, during which the necessary documents and items were seized. The court chose the accused a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions, the press service of the investigative committee noted.^[1]
