2025: Opening of the Eye Microsurgery Center for ₽280 Million

In September 2025, the Mother and Child group of companies opened the Center for Ophthalmology and Eye Microsurgery at the Michurinsky Hospital in Moscow. The volume of investments in the project amounted to ₽280 million. The new medical unit is equipped with advanced equipment from the world's leading manufacturers and is capable of performing operations of any complexity. The head of the center was appointed Candidate of Medical Sciences Sergey Abramov with more than twenty years of experience and practice of conducting over 30 thousand operations. The project was financed at the expense of the company's own funds.

As stated in the GC "Mother and Child," the uniqueness of the new center is based on three components. The first is the experience of leading specialists with many years of practice. On May 22, 2024, the Mother and Child group of companies opened the Michurinsky clinical hospital in Moscow, a multidisciplinary medical institution with modern equipment for diagnosing and treating adults and children. The total investment in the project amounted to 2.84 billion rubles.

The hospital, which occupies an eight-story building with a total area of ​ ​ 8755 square meters, is located at 31 Michurinsky Prospekt, not far from the Ramenki metro station. The institution is attended by specialists in the field of cardiology, neurology, gynecology, reproductology, traumatology, pediatrics, urology, gastroenterology, surgery. There are six operating rooms on the basis of the hospital, there are round-the-clock and day hospitals. In a day hospital, you can get treatment for an emergency or exacerbation of a chronic disease.

The hospital provides a complex of services in the field of laboratory, functional, ultrasonic, endoscopic and computer research. This uses the latest generation of equipment from manufacturers such as Karl Storz, GE Healthcare, Samsung, Mindray, Olympus and Origio. In the center of reproductive health, with the help of modern and effective methods, a complete diagnosis of the state of the reproductive system of the body is carried out for the possibility of in vitro fertilization (IVF). 2023: Creation of a hospital on the basis of a medical center bought for 2.24 billion rubles in Moscow

On July 17, 2023, the MD Medical group of companies (the Mother and Child brand) announced the purchase of a finished hospital in Moscow for 2.24 billion rubles. In addition, it is planned to spend another 600 billion rubles on additional equipment of the medical center.

The seven-story medical center with a total area of ​ ​ 8755 square meters, acquired as part of the transaction, is located at 31 Michurinsky Prospekt. Based on the existing capacities of the acquired center in the second half of 2023, Mother and Child plans to launch a new multidisciplinary hospital MD Group Michurinsky. It will be retrofitted with new state-of-the-art medical equipment from GE Healthcare, Fujifilm and other manufacturers.

"Mother and Child" bought a medical center in Moscow for 2.24 billion rubles

The hospital of the new hospital is designed for 60 beds, including 10 intensive care and 6 operating rooms. The capacity of the multidisciplinary center will allow up to 231,000 specialist appointments per year, as well as 1,200 IVF cycles. As noted in the company, the new hospital will offer a wide range of services for the whole family, including the provision of medical care within the framework of a surgical and therapeutic hospital, IVF, as well as functional diagnostics and outpatient care. Treatment will be carried out, including under the VHI program and compulsory medical insurance.

This transaction is fully consistent with our strategy to strengthen our positions in Moscow and the Moscow region and expand the Group's hospital segment. The acquisition of a new medical center will significantly increase the volume of medical care in Moscow, including due to the high standards of quality of medical care adopted by the MD Medical Group of Companies, as well as the favorable location of the hospital, said MD Medical CEO Mark Kurzer.[4]
