2020: Thomas Janszen's appointment chief executive

2017: Legrand buys Milestone for $950 million

The Legrand producer purchased in the summer of 2017 the American company Milestone which is also specializing in release of electric equipment. It is said in the statement of the French group. The asset cost Legrand 950 million dollars.

"Acquisition of Milestone will allow Legrand to continue increasing the presence in the market of digital infrastructure, in particular, in a high price segment of accessories for audio-video, and in the market of electric equipment in the USA" — the president of the French group Gilles Schnepp noted.

2016

Milestone revenue for 2016 made 464 million dollars. In the company about 1000 employees work, representations are located in Canada, China, Hong Kong, Australia and the Netherlands. The producer has business contacts more than from 6 thousand dealers that exceeds by the size similar network of the French group in the region.

2014: Canon absorbs Milestone Systems

The Canon company announced in June, 2014 acquisition through the division Canon Europa N.V. of the Danish company Milestone Systems A/S — software provider for management of video content based on open platforms. Canon has firm intention to stimulate growth of the business due to diversification and considers network video surveillance as new strategic direction of activity. The entry of Milestone company into Canon Group considerably strengthens possibilities of Canon on software development in this sector.

The successful business model of Milestone relying on use of open platforms has basic value for future success of the company. 2011: Sales growth to $46.8 million

Growth of income by 22% which in 2011 reached 266 million Danish kroner (46.89 million dollars USA) in comparison with the income of 2010 which was 217.2 million Danish kroner (38.3 million US dollars) is mentioned. Production profit before interest contribution, taxes and depreciation charges (EBITDA) reached 44.8 million Danish kroner (7.9 ml. US dollars), and net income was 10.3 million Danish kroner (1.8 million US dollars). The total quantity of the employees working in all divisions of the company in the different countries of the world grew on average by 26%, from 246 people in 2010 up to 310 people in 2011.

In 2011 the Milestone company invested 50.2 million Danish kroner (8.9 million US dollars) in development of products and also millions of kroner in development and personnel training and preparation of the managerial personnel.

Milestone plans further increase in the presence in the world market of IP video surveillance systems. In 2012 Milestone will continue to invest heavily in expansion of a product portfolio, personnel development and preparation of the managing personnel and also in training of staff of sales departments and opening of offices for entry into the new markets.
