Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of Murmansk Region

The Ministry of Development of the Arctic and the Economy of the Murmansk Region is the executive body of state power of the Murmansk Region, which performs the functions of developing regional state policy and implementing state policy of the Murmansk Region in the following areas:

• analysis and forecasting of socio-economic development of the Murmansk region, including municipalities, development and implementation of a strategy for socio-economic development of the Murmansk region, development and implementation of state programs of the Murmansk region and departmental target programs (including determining the procedure for inclusion of investment projects in state programs of the Murmansk region);
• regional taxes, regional tax incentives and other tax advantages, financial recovery of organizations;
• development of production extracting in and manufacturing industries (industries except for food production production of building materials ,), support and support of large investment projects;
• international and foreign economic relations, international technical assistance (assistance), cross-border, interregional cooperation;
• trading activities (excluding retail markets);
• social development economies;
• development of entrepreneurial and investment activities, state support for small and medium-sized businesses;
• production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products; procurement, storage, processing and sale of scrap of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals.

History

2021: Reorganization

In January 2021, the head of the region, Andrei Chibis, announced a change in the structure of the Government of the Murmansk region. By merging the Ministry of Investment and Industrial Development, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economics was created. ^[1] of the ^[1].

• development of production in the extractive and manufacturing industries (except for the production of food products, the production of construction materials), support and support of large investment projects;
• international and foreign economic relations, international technical assistance (assistance), cross-border, interregional cooperation;
• trading activities (excluding retail markets);
