The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region is an authorized executive body of the Omsk Region, implementing a unified state policy in the territory of the Omsk Region in the following areas:

2023

Denis Tsukanov - the new head of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region

In July 2023, it became known about the appointment of Denis Tsukanov as the new Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region. He replaced Andrei Klyuchenko, who was removed from office, according to the head of the region, Vitaly Khocenko, for improper performance of official duties, ignoring the requests of residents and questions from law enforcement agencies. Allocation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region

By decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region dated April 26, 2022 No. 64^[1], the Ministry of Communications, Digital] and Scientific and Technical industries scientifically Development of the^[1] Region was reorganized by separating the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region from the Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development Development of the Omsk Region.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Omsk Region transferred the functions of the Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region in the fields of communications, telecommunications, information security, information technology development and digital development of the Omsk Region.

The Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region has been renamed the Ministry of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region.

2019: Renaming to the Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region

By the decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region dated April 18, 2019 No. 56 "On the organization of the activities of individual executive bodies of the Omsk Region"^[2], the Main Directorate of Information Technologies and Communications of the Omsk Region was renamed the Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region.

The Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region was the authorized executive body of the Omsk Region in the following areas:

• organization, mechanical engineering,, metalworking, metallurgy,, easy, pulp and forest extracting woodworking paper and; oilchemical industries
• science, scientific and technical activities, innovations and the development of intellectual property in the Omsk region;
• development of information technologies and digital development of the Omsk region;
• communications, telecommunications and information security (Regulation on the Ministry of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, approved by Decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region dated April 18, 2019 No. 56).

2013: Renamed the Main Department of Information Technologies and Communications of the Omsk Region

By the Decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region dated September 6, 2013 No. 123^[3], the Ministry of Industrial Policy, Communications and Innovative Technologies of the Omsk Region was renamed the Main Directorate of Information Technologies and Communications of the Omsk Region.

2012: Transformation into the Ministry of Industrial Policy, Communications and IT of the Omsk Region

By decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region of August 9, 2012 No. 77^[4], the Ministry of Industrial Policy, Transport and Communications of the Omsk Region was transformed into the Ministry of Industrial Policy, Communications and Innovative Technologies of the Omsk Region, its functions for the development and implementation of state policy in the field of transport were transferred to the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Housing and Communal Complex of the Omsk Region.

2009: Reorganization

By decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region of June 16, 2009 No. 57^[5], the Ministry of Industrial Policy, Transport and Communications ^[5] the Omsk Region was reorganized by joining the Main Directorate of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of the Omsk Region.
