The Ministry of Regional Security of the Omsk Region is the successor of the Main Directorate of Regional Security of the Omsk Region and the executive body of the Omsk Region, authorized in the field of fire safety, protection of the population and territories of the Omsk region from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring law and order, including in the field of organization, functioning and development of the emergency call system at the single number "112," and organizing the participation of citizens in the protection of public order in the Omsk region, authorized to solve problems in the field of civil defense in the Omsk region.
The ministry is an executive body of the Omsk region, ensuring the implementation of measures in the field of ensuring the radiation safety of the population of the Omsk region, the use of atomic energy, the Russian Cossacks, and perpetuating the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland.
History
2019: Renamed the Ministry of Regional Security of the Omsk Region
By the decree of the Governor of the Omsk Region dated March 13, 2019 No. 33 "On the Ministry of Regional Security of the Omsk Region"[1], the Main Directorate of Regional Security of the Omsk Region was renamed the Ministry of Regional Security of the Omsk Region.
2016: Activities of the Main Directorate of Regional Security of the Omsk Region
The Main Directorate of Regional Security of the Omsk Region was the authorized executive body of the Omsk Region, ensuring the implementation of measures in the fields of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, use of nuclear energy, ensuring radiation safety of the population of the Omsk region, fire safety, Russian Cossacks, ensuring law and order and organizing the participation of citizens in the protection of public order and coordinating the activities of other executive bodies of the Omsk region in these areas.
