2014: Organization of Mitsubishi Electric LLC (RUS) and re-registration of branches

In 2014, Mitsubishi Electric LLC (MED) was created to strengthen the company's presence in Russia and the CIS countries. The company was opened in June 2014, and the representative office in Moscow was closed. MED is a Russian legal entity with 100% foreign capital, the founders of which were Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. (70%) and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (30%).

The opening of the Ministry of Economic Development is an important milestone in the history of the corporation in Russia. In the fall of 2014, the company's branches in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg were closed, separate divisions of Mitsubishi Electric LLC (RUS) were registered instead.

Thus, since that time, Mitsubishi Electric LLC (RUS) and its separate divisions in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg have been engaged in the development of the corporation's business and equipment sales in Russia and the CIS countries.

The main areas of work of the Ministry of Economic Development and its separate divisions are the sale of air conditioning systems, industrial automation, the promotion of high-voltage energy equipment, the development of the business of power semiconductors, visual information systems, refrigeration equipment, as well as marketing research to bring new products of the corporation to the Russian market.

2007-2008: Representative offices opened in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg

In 2007, the company opened its representative office in Yekaterinburg, and in 2008 in St. Petersburg (in 2010, company offices in these cities received branch status).

1997: Opening of a representative office in Moscow

In 1997, a representative office of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V., a European division of the corporation, was opened in Moscow.
