2024: Completion of the year with a loss of 1.5 billion rubles

As TAdviser found out at the end of November 2025, the Modis clothing chain (Clothing 3000 JSC) recorded net losses of 1.53 billion rubles at the end of 2024. For comparison, a year earlier, the company received 739.32 million rubles of net profit.

The loss from sales amounted to 1.63 billion rubles against 23.89 million rubles of profit from sales in 2023. Revenue on an annualized basis decreased by about a third - from 9.58 billion rubles to 6.41 billion rubles. The cost of sales fell from 5.28 billion rubles in 2023 to 3.64 billion rubles in 2024, that is, by 31.1%. Commercial expenses rose by 3% - from 4.27 billion rubles to 4.39 billion rubles. Management expenses increased by one and a half times, reaching 15.08 million rubles against 9.76 million rubles in 2023. Under the article "other income" there was a decrease of 73% - from 2.1 billion rubles to 566.57 million rubles. Other expenses decreased by 28.8% - from 1.22 billion rubles to 866.1 million rubles.

Modis clothing chain ended the year with a loss of 1.5 billion rubles

Sales of products, goods, works and services in 2024 brought 5.42 billion rubles: this is 39.6% less than in the previous year, when such receipts reached 8.98 billion rubles. Payments to suppliers (contractors) for raw materials, materials, works and services for the year fell by 47.6% - from 7.25 billion rubles to 3.8 billion rubles. Expenses in connection with the remuneration of workers increased from 1.41 billion rubles to 1.45 billion rubles (plus 2.7%).

As of December 31, 2024, receivables are indicated in the amount of 139.49 million rubles, which is 63.4% less than a year earlier (381.58 million rubles). At the same time, accounts payable rose by 30.1% - from 1.87 billion rubles to 2.44 billion rubles. The size of borrowed funds decreased from 768.73 million rubles to 200.4 million rubles, that is, by 73.9%. Net assets - 1.88 billion rubles.[1]

History

The company was founded in 2006.

In 2012, Modis is positioned as the first national chain of fashion hypermarkets for the whole family. At that time, the network had 40 discounter stores in 26 cities of Russia, by the end of 2012 it was planned to increase the number of retail outlets by 50%, and by 2015 the number of stores in the network was supposed to reach several hundred.

2025: Intent to go to court to file for bankruptcy

Clothing chain Modis, with which creditors demand payments of more than ₽760 million, intends to apply to the court with a declaration of insolvency. Information in November 2025 appeared on the Forbes website. In the notification of the head structure of JSC "Clothing 3000," the creditor indicates the clothing company "Hals," which won a lawsuit against the retailer for almost ₽60 million. The amount includes ₽5,8 million for the use of borrowed funds. The court documents indicate that at the end of 2024, Modis formed a debt to the clothing manufacturer.[2]

2015

As of July 2015, the company employs more than 2,200 employees. At this time, the company announced plans to sell in 2015 at about $200 million.

The average price of a unit of goods on the shelf: May 2015 - 339 rubles, May 2014 - 245 rubles.

Optimization of work with suppliers takes place: 2014:90% of purchases in China, 170 suppliers. 2015:70% of purchases in China, 60 suppliers. 2016 plan: 60% of purchases in China, 40% of purchases are near countries.
