2024: Resort construction begins
On August 8, 2024, it became known that the construction of the first stage of the large-scale tourist and recreational complex Moinaco Resort began in Crimean Yevpatoria. The backbone bank of Crimea - the Russian National Commercial Bank (RNKB), part of the VTB Group - provided credit funds in the amount of ₽4,8 billion for these purposes.
According to Sergey Biletsky, Senior Vice President of the Corporate Business Department of the RNKB, within the framework of the first stage of the project, it is planned to build an apart-hotel, a water treatment facility, a thermal well, as well as improve part of the embankment along Lake Moynaki. In total, over 750 apartments with a total area of more than 37 thousand square meters. m. In addition, the construction of a basin and other infrastructure facilities is envisaged on the territory of the complex.
Earlier, the Russian National Commercial Bank has already allocated ₽4,6 billion to the developer - Simferopol Development Company - for the construction of the first and second stages of the Moinaco Riviera resort and recreational complex. Thus, the total amount of project financing of the RNKB for the implementation of the entire Moinaco Resort project will exceed ₽20 billion.
The head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov signed an agreement on the integrated development of the territory of Lake Moynaki in November 2022 with the investor Simferopol Development Company. The Moinaco Resort infrastructure will also be available for people with disabilities.
The Moynaki resort began to develop since 1886 with the construction of the first mud bath near the lake of the same name. Located in the western part of the Crimean peninsula, it is the coastal flat climatic and mud resort of Evpatoria, overlooking the open bay of the Black Sea.[1]
