Moscow Institute of Linguistics

It is founded according to the Solution of a general meeting of founders on March 15, 1996 and registered by Department of public and interregional relations of the Government of Moscow on May 14, 1996.

Activity

Now the institute offers the whole range of educational services: the higher education, second higher education, occupational retraining, advanced training, rates of foreign languages, college (school university), linguistic and profile classes to whom basic preparation for entering a higher education institution is carried out.

The institute is a member of Educational and methodical associations by training in the field of linguistics, management and tourism.

Effective cooperation with Institute of linguistics of RAS allows the Moscow institute of linguistics to perform many joint innovation projects in linguistics.

Based on institute the central office of the Union of translators of Russia with which the institute had old partner and business relations is located.

The Moscow institute of linguistics is the associated member of the International federation of translators (FIT) that represents an opportunity to implement educational programs of institute at the international level.

In March, 2010 the Moscow institute of linguistics became officially accredited center for acceptance of the Cambridge examinations. Students of institute, etc. universities of Moscow, listeners of the High courses of a foreign language of MIL have a unique opportunity to pass the international examination and to receive the certificate of the Cambridge university confirming level of proficiency in English according to the international educational standards.

In December, 2014 the institute is given the status of the Federal innovation platform for 2015-2019. The institute locates an extensive network of the High courses of foreign languages in Moscow that creates optimal conditions for a learning of foreign languages everyone.

The Moscow institute of linguistics locates the developed material and technical resources allowing to resolve all issues of training of students at the modern level, has computer classes, language laboratories and other special offices and laboratories, the library of modern literature completed with new educational, methodical and scientific publications. Students have an opportunity to be engaged in library according to electronic manuals and to use the Internet.

Educational process is performed by the highly skilled faculty as a part of which more than 80% of teachers have scientific ranks of professor and the associate professor, and academic degrees of the doctor and candidate of science that provides the high level of training of specialists. At all faculties of institute students have an opportunity to have down to a science three foreign languages.
