2018: Start of work of the First academy of media under the leadership of Ernest Matskyavichyus

In February, 2018 in MIRBIS there began work the First academy of media MIRBIS - the advanced educational platform for training of teleradio hosts and journalists, the TV host, the journalist Ernest Matskyavichyus became the head and the founder of Academy of Media.

2017: State accreditation according to programs of a bachelor degree and magistracy

In 2017 MIRBIS underwent the state accreditation according to programs of a bachelor degree and magistracy (order of Rosobrnadzor of 11/29/2017 No. 1989). 2016: Rosobrnadzor deprived of MIRBIS of state accreditation of programs of the higher education

In 2016 Rosobrnadzor deprived of MIRBIS of the certificate on the state accreditation of programs of the higher education which confirms compliance of activity of university to federal state educational standards.

The regulator found in Mirbis of mismatch to the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) "regarding formation of the main educational program, ensuring access of students to electronic and library resources, use of the information and education environment, regulations on an order of holding a final state assessment", listed Rosobrnadzor.

2011: Cofounder of the international educational consortium EMBA Global

In 2011 the Institute acted as the cofounder of the international educational consortium "EMBA Global". Partners of MIRBIS in consortium became:

2010: Operator of the presidential program of management training

In 2010 the school according to the results of tender became the Russian operator of the presidential program of management training, the organizer of foreign training under the public contract.

2003: Program of preparation Executive MBA

Since 2003 MIRBIS "school university" implements the program of pre-university training of pupils of 250 schools of Moscow for a system. Then the program of preparation of the top managerial management – Executive MBA is started.

2002: The program of the double diploma with London Metropolitan University

In 2002 experts of department of quality management of programs of the Ministry of Education of Great Britain accredited the MVA program with the right of obtaining the double diploma of MVA – MIRBIS and London Metropolitan University. Program implementation is suspended at the initiative of the British side in 2016 (in connection with reorganization of LMU).

1998: The contractor of a State Planning Committee on retraining of specialists for the national economy

In 1998 the institute is appointed by the contractor of the state plan for the program of training of specialists for the national economy of the Russian Federation (the decree of the Russian President of 7/23/1997 No. 774). The Center of human resources development which deals with problems of preparation and retraining of the managerial personnel is at the same time created.

1994: The Japanese education center of management is organized

In 1994 MIRBIS became the Russian regional examination center of Institute of Commercial Management (Great Britain). In structure of MIRBIS the Japanese education center of management is organized.

1991: Program of retraining of the military personnel for civil life

In 1991 MIRBIS deployed the program for retraining of the military personnel "PEOPLE" ("Demilitarization. Education. Cooperation") within which social adaptation of officers of the Soviet army for civil life was performed. Officers of the Baltic and Northern fleet of the VTR, wounded in hospitals and the military personnel of Baikonur Cosmodrome were trained.

1990: The Russia's first MBA program

In 1990 the business school for the first time in Russia develops the program of the Master of Business Administration (MVA). MIRBIS became the first domestic private business school which obtained the international accreditation of AMBA. (Programs of a magistracy, MVA and Executive MBA).

1988: Foundation of school as joint Soviet-Italian venture

MIRBIS was founded in 1988 on the basis of the intergovernmental agreement of the USSR and Italy in the status of the joint Soviet-Italian venture. Founders of MIRBIS from the Soviet part — the Moscow institute of the national economy of G.V. Plekhanov (now — REU of G.V. Plekhanov), from the Italian side — the Italian society of the economic researches "NOMIZMA".
