2023: Bike distributor Uniq

The Asian manufacturer of children's bicycles Uniq has signed a distribution agreement with the Russian bicycle store Mosgorbike. From the end of April 2023, the main models of the Uniq brand will be presented in Russia. Mosgorbike announced this on May 1, 2023.

Bicycle shipments began in mid-April. By the end of the year, 800 Uniq children's bicycles in a design specially developed for Russia will arrive at the Mosgorbike warehouse ― said Ilya Oks, founder of Mosgorbike.

Uniq will also sell bicycles in a design specially made for Russia on the domestic market.

The peculiarity of Uniq bicycles ― ultralight due to carbon components and the European approach to model development. The manufacturer carefully works out the geometry of each model within a small range in height and produces highly specialized sports models in addition to walking, in contrast to the usual Asian approach ― to make a "rubber" range in height and add a large number of unnecessary accessories.

In 2022, Russian consumers faced a shortage of European bicycles. European manufacturers announced the termination of the supply of their products to Russia, as well as the curtailment of activity in the Russian Federation. In 2022, Asian manufacturers began to replace Western companies leaving Russia, including in the premium segment.
