By JSC NIIVK im. M. A. Kartseva it is founded in 1967 and is institute in the field of digital equipment and information technologies. The basis of staff of institute is formed by pupils and followers of his creator M.A. Kartsev.
The staff of institute achieves considerable success in creation hardware and the software for processing of large volumes of radar, hydroacoustic and other signaling information, at the solution of geophysical, seismic tasks. In these directions researches, and developmental works on creation of the reserved computer systems for real-time systems, to creation of complexes and workstations of signal processing and images of multi-purpose application with a performance of tens billion operations per second and tight restrictions on the volume of the equipment, power consumption, operating conditions are conducted.
The scientific and applied subject of institute includes also:
- modeling for the problems of a radar-location, hydroacoustics automated and automatic management systems of high complexity;
- creation of hardware-software complexes for solving of tasks of a radar-location, hydroacoustics, cloud computing and processing of a big information stream;
- modeling and development of radars for detection of low-flying air objects;
- development of the integrated observation systems behind air, surface space using a cognitive complex of a passive location;
- creation of automated process control systems on transport, the subway, in power and at the manufacturing enterprises requiring high reliability and performance;
- creation of the systems of security for air, marine and land transport;
- development and production of technology and abnormal registrars with the protected memory block for air and sea vessels, trains of the subway, land transport and the most important objects of federal importance (atomic, hydroelectric stations and large substations);
- custom development program and hardware of the information equipment of different function;
- creation of special calculators for hydroacoustic and radar complexes using the newest algorithms of digital signal processing and with an overall performance up to ten TFLOPS;
- development of "cloud computing" in management systems for navigation traffic;
- development of systems of data transmission on power communication lines and to metalwork;
- creation of products of power electronics, including sources of secondary power supply, means of protecting of an electronic equipment from long and pulse (including high-voltage) network noises of the device of uninterrupted power with an exit on a direct current; solar power plants of small and medium power;
- creation of the simulation equipment of network noises for carrying out researches of different REA.
New developments of JSC NIIVK im. M. A. Kartseva are based on the maximum use of commercially available components and nodes that allows to accelerate design and deployment of the applied systems, providing the system solution, ready to implementation. The efficiency of creation of the high-speed application software is reached using development of the developed coding environment, including the automatic vector and parallelizing translators, standard mathematical and vector libraries, debugging environment. The vast majority of developments is protected by copyright certificates and patents.
JSC NIIVK im. M. A. Kartseva locates group of specialists, including 4 doctors and 18 candidates of science, the modern equipment, laboratory, production and administration rooms, the automated control system for institute and technology processes using Internet-Intranet-network. In NIIVK the scientific and technical council and a postgraduate study work, basic department No. 254 - computer systems of Institute for Information Technology of the Russian technology university (MIREA) functions, one of issues of the "radioelektroniki Voprosy" magazine is regularly published (Electronic ADP Equipment series).
