Startup Fitbase, developing a service for automating the management fitness of studios, bought the competing NanoGym system. The deal, the value base of which was not disclosed, allowed FitBase to increase customers by 30% and take a stronger position in the market. Fitbase announced this on November 29, 2022.
The NanoGym system, designed to automate the work of fitness clubs, gyms and studios, had similar functionality and was designed for the same audience. The solution made it possible to automate the work of the manager, administrator, sales department and coaches. At the time of the deal, it was used by 100 sports studios and halls.
Both FitBase and NanoGym solutions were positioned as simple and convenient services for managing small businesses in the field of fitness. The purchase of a competitor allowed FitBase to quickly scale the business and find new growth points, - said the founder of FitBase Vasily Suvorov. |
The transfer of the NanoGym client base to the FitBase system lasted four months. To organize a massive seamless transition, the combined team has improved the data transfer tool that was previously used for point-to-point migration of users from other systems. FitBase also added some features that NanoGym customers are used to. For example, calculating salaries and planning the schedule of group classes.

Market participants expect a fairly wide range of functionality from the fitness club management system, which simplifies the work of the manager, administrator, sales department. The FitBase ecosystem is already closing all basic automation needs for fitness companies. The vector of our development is associated with the development of "smart" functions and the introduction of advanced technologies, - said Anastasia Gulyanina, Development Director of FitBase. |
