2022: Iskandar Makhmudov became the 100% owner of the company
On November 8, 2022, it became known that billionaire Iskandar Makhmudov, through Violan LLC controlled by him, consolidated 100% of the National Agricultural Company (NSC). The corresponding entry appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
According to Interfax, earlier 50% of NSCs were owned by the KM Group company (beneficiary Makhmudov) and Kosminvest LLC (on a parity basis owned by Violan and A-Invest, beneficiary Anatoly Kotsyuk, Rostov Region).
KM Group and Kosminvest registered the NSC in June 2022, indicating the cultivation of grain (except rice), legumes and oilseeds as the main activities of the company.
In October 2022, Violan and LLC Elarium (99% owned by Andrei Bokarev) received almost 67% in LLC Sea Port in Trinity Bay (MPBT, operator of the eponymous seaport in Primorsky Territory). Including Violan received 46.63% of MPBT, Elarium - 19.99% of MPBT.
Earlier, MPBT and the Ministry of Economic Development signed an agreement on the protection and promotion of investments (SZPK) on the project to create an export grain corridor.
The launch of the Eastern Grain Gate multimodal transport corridor in Primorsky Krai with a total investment of 16.8 billion rubles with a grain terminal with a capacity of about 10 million tons will create an opportunity to significantly increase grain production in the Far East and Siberia, as well as organize deep-sea shipment of grain and oilseeds to Asian markets. Over 800 people will be employed as part of the operation of the terminals, the Ministry of Economic Development said in a statement. |
In 2022, Makhmudov's structures gradually expanded the agricultural business. So, in early November, the Kosminvest company acquired the Maloorlovskoye farm in the Rostov region, the main activity of which is the cultivation of grain crops. Also, Makhmudov's structures own the Varyag grain farm, the place of registration of which is the Saratov region. It is engaged in the cultivation of grain (except rice), leguminous crops and oilseeds.[1]
