Biography

Iskandar was born on December 5, 1963 in the city of Bukhara.

In 1984 he was educated at Tashkent State University (National University of Uzbekistan). He speaks Uzbek, Russian, Arabic and English.

From 1984 to 1986 he worked as a translator for a group of Soviet military advisers and specialists who worked in the Main Engineering Directorate of Libya (the Libyan analogue of the Soviet Rosvooruzheniya). He worked in the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the USSR.

From 1986 to 1988 he was a translator of a group of Soviet military advisers in the Office of Construction of Military Facilities of the Iraqi General Staff.

From 1988 to 1990, he worked in middle management positions at the State Joint Stock Company "Uzbintorg" in Tashkent.

From 1991 to 1994 he worked as Deputy Marketing Director of Alice JSC.

From 1994 to 1996 he worked as director of AOZT Industrial and Financial Company Meta Service.

1996: General Director of Gaysky Mining and Processing Plant

In 1996, he became General Director of the Gaysky Mining and Processing Plant.

In 1999, together with partners, he created the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company.
