Winning the Counter Strike Tournament and Receiving $0.5 Million

The Natus Vincere (NAVI) e-sports team, consisting of Russian and Ukrainian players, won the Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) BLAST Premier tournament in December 2021. For winning the competition, gamers received a prize of $500 thousand with a total prize pool of $1 million. The tournament was held from December 14 to 19 in Copenhagen.

In the final of BLAST Premier World Final 2021, the NAVI team defeated the Russian team Gambit Esports (for the second place it received $250 thousand) with a score of 2:1. At the same time, on the way to the final match, NAVI first lost to the French Team Liquid and fell into the bottom net, and then the eSports athletes managed to rehabilitate. First, the team dealt with G2 Esports (2:1), and then took revenge from Team Liquid (2:0).

Gambit Esports lost to Natus Vincere at the second major tournament in 2021. At PGL Major Stockholm 2021, the team lost for reaching the semifinals.

In total, the NAVI team in 2021 earned more than $4 million, winning eight large titles. In addition, the Ukrainian player Alexander S1mple Kostylev received the next MVP tournament title (for him - the eighth of the year). His average rating on BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 was 1.42 points.

BLAST Premier World Final 2021 was the last major CS: GO tournament in 2021. The next Intel Extreme Masters 2022 competition will be held in February 2022. On it, teams will play $1 million and up to 1800 points of the Pro Tour series. Natus Vincere, Gambit Esports and Virtus.pro have already received direct invitations to the event.

As of December 2021, NAVI includes Alexander Kostylev (Ukraine), Denis Sharipov (Russia), Kirill Mikhailov (Russia), Ilya Zalutsky (Russia), Valery Vakhovsky (Ukraine).[1]

Team victory in the tournament on the computer game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

On November 7, 2021, the Russian-Ukrainian eSports team Natus Vincere (NAVI) won the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) computer game tournament and earned $1 million. The prize pool of the PGL Major Stockholm competition, held in Stockholm, amounted to $2 million. The tournament took place for the first time in two years. It was attended by 24 teams.

NAVI includes Alexander Kostylev (s1mple, Ukraine), Valery Vakhovsky (B1t, Ukraine), Denis Sharipov (electronic, Russia), Kirill Mikhailov (BoombI4, Russia) and Ilya Zalutsky (Perfecto, Russia). During the award ceremony, Zalutsky made an offer of his hand and heart to his girlfriend from the stage, she agreed.

In the final, they defeated G2 Esports from representatives of European countries with a score of 2:0. During the competitions, which took place from October 26 to November 7, 2021, the Russian-Ukrainian team has never lost.

The third place was taken by the Russian team Gambit Esports (award - $140 000), the fifth - by the Russian Virtus.pro ($70 000). Another team from Russia Entropiq was in ninth place ($17 500). After a short rest, NAVI will perform at the autumn final of BLAST Premier 2021, which will be held November 24-28, 2021 in Copenhagen.

PGL Stockholm 2021 set a record for Major tournaments in terms of the number of spectators. The final between Natus Vincere and G2 was simultaneously watched by more than 2 million viewers.

In the computer game CS: GO, created in the genre of a three-dimensional shooter with a first-person view, players are divided into two teams: terrorists and special forces, after which they fight each other in a series of rounds, according to the results of which the winning team is determined.
