2024: The owner of Akron bought the Nautilus shopping center in the center of Moscow for ₽1,6 billion
Industrial holding "Akron" acquired the shopping center "Nautilus" in the center of Moscow for ₽1,6 billion. The deal took place at an auction held by the Russian Auction House (RAD). This became known in mid-October 2024
The tender winner was the Transcat Asset company, owned by Akron owner Pavel Morozov. The object of sale was a non-residential premises with an area of 6572.1 square meters. m, located in the Nautilus shopping center near the Lubyanka metro station in the Tverskoy district of Moscow.
AkronThe Nautilus shopping center, built in the late 1990s, is a strategic commercial property in the center of the capital. Currently, it has 40 tenant companies, including a showroom of Russian designers, bank offices, dance schools, modeling and travel agencies, a karaoke club, clothing, shoe, perfume and tobacco stores.
The sale of Nautilus became possible only after a significant decrease in the initial price. Earlier, the Federal Property Management Agency put up a shopping center for sale for ₽2,53 billion, but there were no buyers. In the summer of 2024, the price was reduced to ₽1,88 billion, and as a result, the deal took place at a price exceeding one and a half billion rubles.
Elena Kantserova, Deputy General Director of JSC RAD, notes that the new owner can increase the profitability and liquidity of the facility through reconstitution. The location in the historical center of Moscow opens up opportunities for implementing various business ideas, including the creation of a multifunctional center with a modern workspace, service apartments or a classic hotel.
Akron Holding, which is one of the largest vertically integrated industrial holdings in Russia, specializes in the metallurgical and mining industries. The acquisition of Nautilus allows the company to expand its assets in the field of commercial real estate.[1][2]
