In February, 2014 the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan announced opening in Kazan of the Russia's first private hardverny technopark of Navigator Campus.

The technopark is expected, first of all, support of startups in the engineering sphere. Its main directions are the user robotics, 3D - printing, devices of the systems smart homes.

According to one of founders of technopark - the director of business development of Runa Capital investment fundRamil Ibragimov, Navigator Campus gives the chance to residents in 48 hours to create a prototype of the product. For this purpose in technopark there are the corresponding equipment, including 3D-printers, he tells.

Total investment in creation of technopark was 120 million rubles invested by creators and also venture investors - Runa Capital fund and others. At the time of opening in technopark 14 resident companies, including 3 - from Kazan, the taking 93 jobs from 120 available work.

The cost of placement of the project in technopark is 11 thousand rubles a month for one workplace. Navigator Campus locates a garage where it is possible to conduct assembly of large prototypes. Besides, at technopark there is a venture fund for support of perspective startups.

In plans of founders of Navigator Campus - with building of the second and third queues of technopark till 2016 to increase its area to 6 thousand sq.m, and capacity - up to 800 jobs. The total amount of investments into the project should be about $10 million. In addition to Kazan creators are going to open similar hardware-technoparks in Perm and Ufa.

The president of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, speaking at Navigator Campus opening, noted that several years ago "the leaders of the republic only dreamed of appearance of private investors in infrastructure projects, creating technoparks for budgetary funds".

"Of course, we do and objects are many times larger, but it is important that you made this project, attracted investors. If such objects appear without us, means we managed to create an environment. And it is also the main task of the state for business", - he noted.
