Nizhnekamskneftekhim is one of the largest enterprises in the petrochemical industry in Russia. The annual output of commercial products of the enterprise is about 20 billion rubles. The range of products includes more than 100 items: isoprene, butyl and ethylene-propylene rubbers, polyethers of various grades, linear alpha-olefins, neonols, propylene trimers and tetramers, glycols, methyltretbutyl ether, styrene, propylene, ethylene, thermopolymer oil and others. The production basis of Nizhnekamskneftekhim is made up of 11 large factories and departments.

2023: Halving profit to RUB 22.6 billion
In 2023, the net profit of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim (part of Sibur) amounted to 22.6 billion rubles. For comparison, a year earlier the company earned 47.8 billion rubles. Thus, the figure decreased by about 2.1 times, as stated in the financial report published at the end of March 2024.
The revenue of Nizhnekamskneftekhim at the end of 2023 was recorded at 227.5 billion rubles. A year earlier, the company received 257.5 billion rubles. The drop was 11.7%. In total sales, synthetic rubbers provided 66.5 billion rubles against 83.6 billion rubles in 2022. Plastics (including polyolefins) brought 76.4 billion rubles against 84.7 billion rubles a year earlier. Other products in 2023 accounted for 73.4 billion rubles of revenues, while in 2022 this article amounted to 84 billion rubles.
The report says that in 2023, Sibur Holding PJSC became the largest buyer of Nizhnekamskneftekhim products, the amount of revenue (excluding VAT) from contracts with which amounted to 197.7 billion rubles. In 2022, this figure was 138 billion rubles.
In 2023, other revenues of Nizhnekamskneftekhim decreased 2.2 times in relation to 2022 - to 7.1 billion rubles. At the same time, other expenses increased 3.3 times on an annualized basis, reaching 34.6 billion rubles. The company's assets grew by 17.9% and amounted to 424.7 billion rubles as of December 31, 2023. The average number of employees of the company for 2023 amounted to 11,266 people against 13,741 employees a year earlier.
It is noted that several factors affect the financial performance of the company, including revenue and expenses. These are volatility of exchange rates and quotations, external restrictions on special chemistry and sales markets for finished products, as well as an increase in logistics costs.[1]
