2019: Collaboration with Schneider Electric on educational initiatives

On April 22, 2019, it became known that Schneider Electric, an expert in energy management and automation, and Northeastern Federal University (SVFU) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on educational initiatives. The signing took place with the participation of Roman Shmakov, vice president of the Secure Power division of Schneider Electric, and Pyotr Ivanov, vice rector for informatization of SVFU.

Under the terms of the agreement, Schneider Electric specialists will take part in career guidance work, the implementation of training programs in the field of electric power, electrical engineering, energy management and energy efficiency, including additional vocational education programs. In addition, under the agreement, university students will be able to apply for internship and employment on a competitive basis with Schneider Electric.

It is crucial to immerse students in the professional environment as early as possible and conduct training with reference to the real requirements of business and industry. 2010: Establishment of SVFU named after M.K. Ammosov

The North-Eastern Federal University (SVFU) named after M.K. Ammosov was officially established in April 2010 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7, 2008 No. 716 "On Federal Universities," Presidential Decree of the Russian Federation of October 21, 2009 No. 1172 "On the Creation of Federal Universities in the North-West, Volga, Ural and Far Eastern Federal Districts "on the basis of Yakutsk State University named after M.K. 2005

In the ranking classification of universities for 2005, out of 92 universities, YSU took 30th place.

The 1990th

In 1999, a Soros grant was won to create an Internet Technology Center.

Since 1996, the Yakut state university has been the curator of the scientific and social program for youth and schoolchildren "Step into the Future." The Public Academy "Step into the Future" was organized at the university.

In 1991, the Center for New Information Technologies was organized on the basis of the Information Computing Center.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) M.E. Nikolaev dated February 6, 1993, YAGU was given the status of the Head University of the Republic, responsible for the organization and quality of humanitarian, socio-economic, pedagogical and natural science training of specialists.

Since 1990, the university has been named after M.K. Ammosov.

1984

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 28, 1984, Yakutsk State University was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
