OMK-IT LLC is a member of the United Metallurgical Company and provides comprehensive services in the field of IT consulting and development of IT solutions for enterprises included in the OMK group of companies. The United Metallurgical Company is one of the largest Russian producers of metal products for leading energy, transport and industrial companies. OMK includes seven large enterprises in the metallurgical industry: Vyksa Metallurgical Plant (Nizhny Novgorod Region), Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (Republic of Tatarstan), Trubodetal Plant (Chelyabinsk Region), Foundry and Rolling Complex (Nizhny Novgorod Region), Chusovskaya Metallurgical Plant (Perm Territory) Blagoveshchensk Reinforcement Plant (Republic of Bashkortostan) and OMK K Tube plant (Texas, USA).

2017: OMK Receives Advanced Level SAP Customer Support Center Certification

On May 10, 2017, SAP and the United Metallurgical Company (OMK JSC, Moscow) announced the results of an international audit of IT processes in OMK. OMK-Information Technologies (OMK-IT LLC, Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region, part of OMK) received a certificate from the SAP Advanced Customer Support Center (ACCOE, Advanced Customer Center of Expertise). This certificate confirms the success of the evolution of IT processes in OMK and compliance with global SAP standards. OMK became the second company in Russia and the twentieth in the world to receive ACCOE certification from SAP.

Introduction of advanced solutions in the field of information technology and certification allows to increase the level of business transparency, helps to reduce costs and optimize production, prompt implementation of services for customers and employees.

Certification of the SAP Advanced Expertise Center confirms that the client has a well-functioning IT management system with the SAP solution. All 12 SAP solution management processes (such as IT Service Management (ITSM), Change Management (CHARM), Client Code Management (CCLM), System Monitoring (SysMon) and Business Process Monitoring (BPMON), etc.) recommended by the SAP methodology are deployed in the company and operate in accordance with SAP operational standards.

Before the audit, OMK implemented a comprehensive program for transforming IT processes: a management system was built, the processes for supporting and developing SAP solutions were industrialized, and a quality management system was deployed. The company has trained quality managers, developed a system of key performance indicators and established a process of continuous improvement of the internal IT system. In addition, OMK-IT has maximized the automation of SAP IT management processes, which will allow employees to focus more on development, assessment of applicability and implementation of innovative scenarios. The program was implemented in the scope of SAP MaxAttention interaction.
