2025: Construction of a plant for the production of oil and gas equipment in the Tyumen region. Investment volume - ₽3 billion
In the Tyumen region, the construction of a new production complex for the production of modern equipment for directional drilling with a total investment of over ₽3 billion has been completed. The launch of the enterprise is scheduled for September 2025. The new production will ensure the creation of 100 jobs for local specialists. This was announced on August 13, 2025 by the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor.
The project is being implemented by a specialized company "OFS Technologies," which plans to launch the production of high-tech equipment for the oil and gas industry. The main buyers of the products of the new plant will be oil and gas companies operating in the northern autonomous regions of Russia.
Alexander Moor noted that the owners of the OFS Technologies company considered several Russian regions to accommodate production facilities. The governor expressed gratitude to investors for choosing the Tyumen region as a site for the implementation of a large-scale industrial project.
According to the head of the region, the regional authorities will provide the investor with all the necessary support at the stages of construction and launch of production. This position of the regional administration is aimed at creating a favorable investment climate and attracting large industrial projects to the Tyumen region.
Director of OFS Technologies David Gadzhimirzaev emphasized the strategic importance of launching the Tyumen production complex for the Russian oil and gas industry. In his opinion, the new enterprise will solve the issue of providing customers with high-tech equipment of domestic production.
David Gadzhimirzayev noted that the launch of production will significantly reduce the dependence of Russian oil and gas companies on foreign suppliers of specialized equipment. Localizing the production of critical technologies becomes a priority to ensure the technological sovereignty of the industry.[1]
2022: Buyout of Tyumen plant from Baker Hughes and relaunch under new brand
The leaders of the Tyumen plant bought it from Baker Hughes and restarted the enterprise under a new brand - "OFS Technologies." This was announced on December 12, 2022 in the press service of the government of the Tyumen region.
President of the new structure David Gadzhimirzayev assured that the company will continue to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the largest oil and gas companies in the Russian energy sector.

The Baker Hughes plant in Tyumen was opened in 2014. The company is engaged in the production of oil submersible cable. The company's investments in the project amounted to 2 billion rubles. A cooperation agreement was in effect between Baker Hughes and the government of the Tyumen region, under which an American company in the Tyumen region localized a drill bit service center. After the start of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine, Baker Hughes announced the sale of business in Russia.
As noted in the government of the Tyumen region, the largest regional office of the company is located in Tyumen, an oil submersible cable is produced for the installations of electrically driven centrifugal pumps, and a training center is operating.
As reported, in November 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a deal to acquire Oilfield Services Technologies LLC Russian assets of oilfield services Baker Hughes. Oilfield Services Technologies received the right to acquire 100% of Baker Hughes JSC, BJ Samotlor Services Vostok LLC, Oilamp Service LLC, Orenburneftegeofizika LLC, Energo Innovations LLC, Baker Hughes Services Rus LLC, Tyumen Oil Field Equipment Plant LLC and Oilamp Service LLC[2]
