2024: Ex-deputy head Elena Ishkhanova sentenced to 8.5 years in prison for bribes in exchange for non-transfer of data to the department's IT systems
The former deputy head of the capital's Federal Tax Service No. 15, Elena Ishkhanova, was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison for taking a bribe. The decision on this was made by the Cheremushkinsky District Court of Moscow on September 20, 2024. Ishkhanova was found guilty of a crime under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for systematic receipt of bribes in exchange for non-transfer of data to the information systems of the tax department. According to the press service of the capital's prosecutor's office, the real execution of the sentence was postponed until her child reaches the age of 14. Read more here.
