2025: Plant Launch

In November 2025, Titan Group launched the production of low-molecular weight polyisobutylene (PIB). This petrochemical product is widely used in the manufacture of lubricants, adhesives, sealants, cosmetics and personal care products. Investments in the Omsk Rubber plant amounted to 2.5 billion rubles.

Power Minister Sergei Tsivilev said that the launch of production under sanctions pressure demonstrates the creation of a domestic petrochemical complex, the characteristics of which are superior to foreign counterparts. The Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khocenko stressed that the establishment of new production will completely cover the needs of the domestic market in the PIB and eliminate dependence on imports.

In
Omsk, a plant for the production of polyisobutylene for cosmetics was launched for 2.5 billion rubles

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Titan Group Mikhail Sutyaginsky called the launch a strategic stage in the development of the group's petrochemical complex. According to him, a full cycle of product production has been formed, which is of critical importance for related industries.

According to the Industrial Development Fund, the Russian Federation imports over 90% of low-molecular weight polyisobutylene. According to TASS, the production technology is completely Russian and patented, exclusively domestic raw materials are used. The new project was implemented with the support of the Industrial Development Fund, which provided a preferential loan in the amount of 950 million rubles for the purchase of high-tech equipment.

In addition to civilian applications, polyisobutylene is used in the production of special emulsifiers for explosives used in geological exploration and mining, as well as in lubricants for aircraft.[1]
