Omsk Institute of Water Transport is a branch of the Siberian State University of Water Transport, one of the educational institutions of Siberia in the field of water transport. The institute has been training international specialists since 1920. As of March 2026, more than 1,000 students study at the institute.

2026: Agreement with BPMoft in Educational and Research Fields
The company BPMSoft (IT holding LANSOFT) and the Omsk Institute of Water Transport (OIVT) signed an agreement on cooperation in educational and research fields. BPMSoft announced this on March 10, 2026.
The parties plan to develop discipline programs, update methodological materials and integrate modern technologies into the educational process. Students and cadets of the institute will have the opportunity to study the low-code platform with built-in AI tools BPMSoft as part of a practice-oriented approach to training future specialists. The main focus will be on modeling and optimizing business processes in logistics and transport enterprises.
Elena Khrapova, Head of the Department of Economics and Management transport at the OIVT, stressed the importance of signing a document to implement the strategic goals of the educational institution, meet the current requirements of the digital transformation of the industry and expand the list used. According to Yulia Golyakina, head of BPMSoft Education, business participation in educational projects helps to form a new management culture so that graduates are able not only to automate processes, but to understand and meaningfully build the business architecture.
The cooperation is being implemented within the framework of the BPMSoft Education program, launched in 2023. According to the company, more than 40 Russian universities have already joined the initiative, and more than three thousand students have been trained to work with low-code tools.
