The joint Russian-Venezuelan investment project in the form of joint venture for production, distribution and sale of the flower products manufactured in Venezuela in the territory of the Russian Federation was approved to implementation on the basis of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of April 2, 2010 since 2011.
On the basis of the Resolution of the President of the Republic No. 8.801 of February 14, 2012 the Joint Russian-Venezuelan venture "Orkhideya joint-stock company is founded (Empresa MixtaRusso-VenezolanaOrquidea, S.A.).
Shareholders of JV Orkhideya from the Venezuelan side - Fund of socialist development of agricultural economy Fondas with 51% of stocks, from the Russian side — Panorama Ltd from shares in 49%.
Founders of Panorama Ltd, according to information from SPARK base - the Moscow entrepreneurs specializing in wholesale and retail sales: Valery Kovalyov whose share makes 99%, and Pyotr Demidov with 1% of stocks of the company. According to the CEO of closed joint stock company Elena Lanskikh, now shareholders of the company is she (a share of 50%) and Sergey Strizhko (50%).
The general investments into the project are estimated at $42 million: they will be spent for construction of the terminal and the organization of plantations in Venezuela.
