2013: Avago absorbs PLX for $300 million

In 2013, Avago bought LSI for $6.6 billion, while it was one of the largest transactions, then acquired PLX for $300 million, and in 2015 - Emulex for $600 million. Through these three acquisitions, Avago created a business to equip data centers. This direction is especially promising, its development spurs the demand for web services and cloud computing.

2010

Initially, the company focused on PCI products, so the natural development of PLX was the beginning of development of products based on PCI Express (PCIe). Many PLX clients at this time could either improve the interface of their already designed devices with PCI on PCIe, or get a solution on PCIe for their new developments. PLX Technology's corporate office is located in Sunnyvale, USA with additional technical offices in China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Britain.

2009: Oxford Semiconductor Acquisition

With the acquisition of Oxford Semiconductor in 2009, PLX entered the consumer Data Storage and office devices markets.
