Purchase of Microsoft company

In July, 2012 Microsoft signed the purchase agreement of Perceptive Pixel (PPI) company, vendor the multi-touch of displays of the big size. As expected, these devices will be used by corporation for the industrial solutions intended for communication and joint work.

PPI was founded in 2006. The main products of the company – monitors of the big size which are installed on walls and are controlled touches or styluses. Most likely, now these monitors will make the complete solution together with Microsoft Lync, a product integrating the IM function and the tool of the presentations, web conferences and video of conferences and also IP-telephony.

Clients of PPI are the companies of the different different industries, including a public sector, broadcasters, the engineering companies, educational institutions and many others. For example, a client of PPI is the CNN company.

Microsoft does not open financial terms of transaction with PPI. It is reported only that as soon as the transaction is closed, the corporation will begin to implement actively products of PPI in the line. In particular, it will be compatible to the new Windows 8 operating system which, thanks to the Metro interface, supports information input via the tach-interface.

Microsoft was announced this transaction at the World partner conference in Toronto, by Canada where it also designated date of release of Windows 8 – October, 2012.
