Petersburg Chamber Choir

The St. Petersburg Chamber Choir was created in 1977 by Nikolai Kornev. The team performs programs a cappella, compositions of the cantata and oratorio genre and opera productions, the team was also the organizer of the I International Choral Festival in St. Petersburg in 1991.

In 1995, the choir was nominated for a Grammy Award for its performance of Sergei Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil.

The St. Petersburg Chamber Choir is working on the creation of an audio anthology of Russian choral music of the 17th - 21st centuries. Over the ten years of the project's existence, the St. Petersburg Chamber Choir, together with Nikolai Kornev, recorded 2,500 works for concert performance. This is more than 150 disks. Many of them can be listened to for free in the Internet community VK "Audio Library of Russian Choral Music." Nikolai Kornev considers the project to be his life's work.
