2025: Samruk-kazyna Foundation bought Phystech
The Samruk-Kazyna Foundation received from the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan a 100% stake in the Phystech II oil company, which previously belonged to businessman Kairat Boranbaev. This deal became known in mid-January 2025.
As the publication "Italic" writes, Phystech II papers were valued at 8.1 billion tenge ($15.3 million), while earlier the Financial Monitoring Agency (AFM) brought the amount of 35.4 billion tenge.
Samruk-Razyna placed 1 thousand common shares within the announced at a price of 8.1 million tenge per share. The sole shareholder of the fund represented by the Government of Kazakhstan had the right of preemption. It paid for them with a full stake in Phystech II.[1]
