2020: Agreement signature with Autodesk about sale
On July 24, 2020 it became known that Autodesk company signed the purchase agreement of Pype company, the supplier of cloud solutions for control automation with construction projects.
In the message of Autodesk it is specified that this acquisition will increase attractiveness of the solutions Autodesk Construction Cloud for contractors, subcontractors and owners as will allow to automate crucial components of production processes in the construction sector and to reduce the risks connected with projects.
Developments of Pype are based on artificial intelligence technology and machine learning that allows to analyze and isolate automatically critical data about construction - such as project information and characteristics which will be used for all project lifecycle. Earlier such transactions were made mainly manually. Thanking automation these processes and an opportunity to transform continuous data to the efficient ideas, the transparency, the interoperability layer and efficiency of construction projects increases.
Among clients of Pype there are such construction companies as Barton Malow, JE Dunn, McCarthy, Mortenson and Skanska.
Since 2017 Autodesk spent more than one billion dollars for acquisition of the companies connected with the sphere of technologies of construction - Assemble Systems, PlanGrid and BuildingConnected.
Besides, Autodesk actively invests in construction and technology startups.
Pype technologies along with developments of Assemble, BuildingConnected, PlanGrid and BIM 360, will be integrated into a set of the solutions Autodesk Construction Cloud. Thus, Autodesk offers all range of software solutions for construction, including packets for planning, architectural design and field project management.
In the message of Autodesk it is especially emphasized that developments of Pype will allow to minimize the risks connected with human errors at different stages of the project, having automated the most labor-consuming and uniform tasks.
Really, the highest risk of a human error is shown where most of all routine and repeating tasks, - Dmitry Gvozdev, the CEO of Information Technologies of the Future company says. - It is fair not only for construction projects, but also any other, but in construction such errors can cost much especially. Pype technologies allow to reduce these risks most, perhaps, rationally - through intellectual automation. Eventually, as well as any insurance from human errors, it works for prevention of undesirable expenses. |
Closing of the transaction is expected in the third quarter 2021. The amount does not reveal.
