2022: Nikita Storodsky founded a fund for investing in AI projects

In mid-May 2022, the co-founder of one of the most expensive European startups, Revoluta Nikita Storodskiai, announced the launch of his own venture fund Quantum Light Capital, which will specialize in investments in artificial intelligence projects. The entrepreneur, along with other investors, will invest about $200 million in the fund to compete with old venture capital investors.

Nikita Storodsky will use his experience in raising $1.8 billion to create the startup Revolut, which was valued at $33 billion in July 2021. Early in his career, Frostsky worked as a trader at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse, he used machine learning to identify promising B and C series startups. A native of Russia, Nikita is a British citizen in May 2022, claims that the relationship-based and club world of venture capital is outdated and waiting for it to be destroyed.

Some venture capital funds, such as Social Capital in the United States, EQT Ventures and Blossom Capital in Europe and the UK, have been using similar approaches for many years to identify and track new potential investments, according to Forbes. Stornsky plans to hire a CEO who will head the fund.

Outsky invested in Tink, a Swedish fintech startup acquired by Visa for $2.1 billion in June 2021, and the French company Alan, which raised $193 million at a valuation of $2.8 billion in May 2022. The launch of the Quantum Light fund, according to Forbes, will put its founders on a par with venture funds such as SoftBank, Tiger Global and Balderton Capital, which previously invested in Revolut.

Nikita Storodsky and co-founder Vladislav Yatsenko, who does not participate in the fund, launched Revolut in 2015 as a foreign exchange card for travel, allowing customers to choose whether to pay in pounds sterling the united kingdom or euros. As of May 2022, the startup has more than 18 million customers and a large selection of services such as travel insurance, hotel reservations, stock and cryptocurrency trading.[1]
