Alan is the French company offering services of digital health insurance. Clients buy policies and receive services of service in the SaaS model through mobile application. In customer acquisition Alan places emphasis on freelancers, small firms and representatives of medium business.

2018: Growth of revenue to $25 million
In 2018 revenue of Alan made $25 million against $4 million the previous year. During this time the number of the clients insured by the company grew from 5 thousand to 27 thousand.
History
2019: Attraction of $45 million investments, including from partners of DST Global
In the middle of February, 2019 Alan announced attraction of $45 million investments in 10 months after collecting of $28 million.
The new round of financing headed Index Ventures, and part in it was also taken by partners of DST Global fund of the cofounder of Mail.ru Group Yury Milner. Investments of each of investors do not reveal.
By February, 2019 the number of staff of Alan is measured by 64 employees, and the staff increase up to 175 people is until the end of the year planned.
It is noted that the startup obtained the official license of health insurance and became the first new medical insurance company in France in 30 years. Alan expresses the intentions by means of new investments to create well prepared insurance product with the transparent prices and politicians to make health care more available.
According to TechCrunch, in France each officially working citizen can use a national medical system for receiving base insurance pays for medical services and also address to private insurance companies, so far as concerns more expensive types of treatment. Traditional insurance companies were neglected, as a rule, digital products as they usually do not make considerable profit.
