2025: VK bought Viqeo

On July 1, 2025, VK Holding bought the Russian Viqeo platform, designed to embed video on sites and other services. The amount of the transaction and its terms as of the specified date are not disclosed.

As part of the agreement, PJSC VK acquired a 100% stake in Vikeo LLC. It is assumed that the deal will strengthen the advertising direction of "VK Video." The representative of the company, as noted by Interfax, confirmed the purchase, without going into any additional details.

Vikeo LLC was registered in Moscow in June 2018 with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles. The general director is Sergei Solovyov. The main area of ​ ​ work is data processing activities, the provision of information placement services and related activities. In addition, several other activities are indicated: computer software development, advisory and computer technology activities, information and advertising agencies.

The Viqeo website says that the company's platform is designed to quickly create and edit videos, stories and other materials. The system allows you to import videos from YouTube and other hosting sites, as well as customize the appearance, behavior and location of the player. You can manage monetization channels and display your own ads using Viqeo Ads Manager. A detailed analysis of user behavior is provided: depth of views, devices, interaction with the player and advertising. In the case of stories, monetization is possible using banners, videos or partner links. Revenue, Viqeo claims, is boosted by smart video loading and flexible ad display settings. At the same time, surveys will help collect feedback from the audience.^[1]
