2018: Growth of revenue by 137% to 11.6 billion rubles

In 2018 revenue of Алибаба.ком (ru) LLC (the Russian division of Alibaba Group) made 11.6 billion rubles, having increased by 137% concerning the 2017th. Net losses exceeded 2 billion rubles, data from SPARK-Interfax base demonstrate.

By the end of 2018 of 20 million Russians regularly (not less once a year) purchases through AliExpress — one of the largest and profitable services Alibaba made. Indicators of the Tmall project are lower, but its revenue grows promptly, and in a year it reached 10% of turnover of the Russian AliExpress.

Alibaba sustains losses in Russia, but grows quicker than competitors

By the end of 2018 of Alibaba invested 500 million rubles in development of logistics in the Russian Federation and also spent 2 billion rubles for IT.

As notes RBC, became Alibaba in Russia the most fast-growing company among those who work at local market of e-commerce. So, revenue of Yandex.Market, according to the reporting of "Yandex", in 2018 rose by 59% and reached 7.8 billion rubles. This rise was promoted by start of AliExpress rival services — marketplaces of Beru and Bringly.

The Wildberries online store in 2018 increased revenue for 46.5% (to 69.5 billion rubles), Citylik — for 29.5% (to 65.4 billion rubles), Ozon — for 74% (to 37.4 billion rubles), Lamoda — for 8.5% (to 29.7 billion rubles).

Negative dynamics among the largest participants of the market of e-commerce was shown only by retailer "Svyaznoy". Revenue of network dropped almost by 24% — from 63.3 billion rubles in 2017 to 48.3 billion rubles in the 2018th.

As the representative of Svyaznoy explained to the edition, Svyaznoy Network LLC till September 11, 2018 was called Euroset Retail LLC and managed retail network under a brand Euroset. Negative revenue development of this legal person "is connected with accomplishment of the transaction on separation of Euroset and transfer of a half of outlets to VimpelCom, noted reported in the company.[1]
