2024: VK transfers 51% of IT Prom software developer to company employee
In August 2024, it became known that VK transferred 51.1% of the IT Prom software developer to one of the key employees of the company, Alexander Kiryanov.
According to RB.ru, this deal was described by VK representatives as technical and standard for the market. According to data obtained from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL), Alexander Kiryanov, who holds a leading position in the VK holding, became the owner of a controlling stake in IT Prom LLC. The remaining 48.9% of the company belongs to Digital Transformation Plus LLC, where 99% is owned by VK LLC. The deal was officially registered on August 14, 2024.
The VK press service confirmed the fact of transferring the share to Kiryanov, noting that this practice is typical for the market and allows key employees to become founders of companies, which contributes to further business development.
Prior to the change in the ownership structure, 99.9% of IT Prom belonged to Digital Transformation Plus LLC, where the majority of the shares were held by the founder of the company, Elena Bagudina, who is the CEO of VK. After the transfer of the share to Kiryanov, VK's share in Digital Transformation Plus increased to 99%, the remaining 1% remained with Bagudina.
Earlier, in July 2024, VK transferred another subsidiary, Digital Education, an educational platform developer, to Digital Transformation Plus. "Sferum" This company was previously fully owned by VK LLC, and in May of the same year VK completed the acquisition of a small share of Rostelecom in the amount of 0.59%, ensuring full control over Digital Education.
In addition to his activities at VK, Alexander Kiryanov heads several other enterprises related to Zapsibgazprom-Investments LLC, which is engaged in venture investment and is part of Zapsibgazprom PJSC. This structure, headed by Mikhail Slipenchuk, a professor at Moscow State University and a former State Duma deputy, is actively involved in major infrastructure projects, such as the construction of the Nizhneleninskoye-Tongjiang logistics terminal on the border between Russia and China.[1]
