2024: Acquisition of 40% of Intiquets by VK for 723 million rubles

On May 3, 2024, VK announced to TAdviser the acquisition of 40% of Intiquets, which is the developer of a cloud service for controlling and managing ticket sales for cultural and entertainment events Intickets.ru. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Intickets.ru system is a product for automating business processes with a set of tools for managing the full sales cycle in cultural institutions, ticket agents and organizers

Thanks to the deal with Intiquets, VK expects to implement the task of developing the Pushkin Map state program, which allows young people to visit theaters, cinemas, museums, exhibitions, philharmonic societies and other cultural institutions for free, as a trusted information system. In particular, it is planned to increase the effectiveness of the program and ensure security for participants - card users, cultural organizations and ticket operators.

The role of a trusted information system within the framework of the Pushkin Card youth program was assigned to VK within the framework of a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.

In August 2024, it became known that the cost of the transaction for the purchase of Intiquets by the VK Internet holding company amounted to 723 million rubles.

From the reporting of VK it follows that by August 8, 2024, the company had already paid 472 million rubles under the transaction. In addition, VK recognized a deferred compensation liability of up to 251 million rubles.

The purchased 40% stake is sufficient for the holding to make decisions on key issues, which gives it control, is added in VK materials.
